Dr. Walter Laseter led an excellent hands-on clinic on 7/13/2024 at Northgate. We had 13 participants, and everyone went home with new skills and new toys.

The Palmetto Summer Division meeting 2024 was held June 15 at the Railroad Auxiliary Building. We were treated to a great clinic on the history of the Rockton and Rion by Chris Kovacs, who later served as our guide on the train ride where we saw many of the things Chris told us about. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Our Spring Meet was held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Historic Central Depot in Central, SC (413 Gaines Street).

Our Palmetto Division was well-represented at the CRMHA Train Show in Easley, SC, on February 16-17. In addition to the NMRA Information table, several of our members  brought their excellent T-Trak-HO modules and ran trains for the kids (young and not so) to enjoy!

We had a great meeting, with 43 in attendance. Dave Winans shared an interesting clinic on making rocks from ceiling tile, we reviewed the recent hands-on clinics and discussed the recent and upcoming NMRA conventions. We had great participation in the contests, (photo, favorite model and tips/techniques), and got to tour 2 excellent layouts (see photos). We also had excellent sales of our polo shirt and hats.
